The AI chat assistant answers customer questions on your public booking page — what a treatment involves, which one suits them, when you are open — and points them into booking.
It is built, and switched off for every shop. This page describes what it will do; nothing here is something you can turn on today.
Where it lives
Once enabled, the assistant is configured under AI → Chatbot in the sidebar, with AI → Usage showing what it has cost. Neither appears while the feature is off, so if you cannot see an AI section in your sidebar, that is why.
Its settings also appear on the AI tab of Settings → Shop.
What you can configure
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Enable AI Chatbot | Shows the assistant on your public booking page |
| Assistant Name | What it calls itself. Left empty, it is “AI Assistant” |
| Conversation Tone | Friendly, Professional, Casual or Luxury |
| Greeting Mode | Auto-generate an opening line, or write your own |
| Custom Greeting | Your own opening message, when the mode is set to custom |
| Custom Instructions | Extra guidance for the assistant to follow |
The tone options are meaningfully different: Luxury is elegant and makes customers feel like VIPs, Casual is relaxed and informal. Pick the one that sounds like you, not the one that sounds most impressive.
What it knows
Your services, their descriptions and prices, your shop details and your opening hours — the same information on your public page.
It does not see customer records, booking history or financial data.
This is worth knowing because it can only be as good as your service descriptions. An assistant asked “which massage is right for lower back pain?” can only answer well if your descriptions say what each treatment is for. See Adding a Service.
Until then
Customers who want to ask something before booking need another way to reach you. Make sure your phone number and messenger links are on your page — see Customising Your Shop Page — and consider answering the common questions directly in your service descriptions, which is worth doing whether or not the assistant ever appears.
